Arrival/Exogenesis by graemestevens

Arrival/Exogenesis

I'm not too sure about this one - right idea but I'm just not sure about the execution.
Your thoughts are most welcome, as always. I know I can't seem to muster any thoughts of my own today so feel free to critique. Or you can buy me chocolate - the choice is yours.
Best viewed on black.
i'm pretty sure about it... fav! (you can have chocolate too if you come over here to get it...)

@northy Thank you very much - As I have now mastered the ability to appear through walls, I shall be there presently...
October 4th, 2014
excellent... just watch out for the furniture against the walls... can you appear thru that as well?
October 4th, 2014
Yikes! Love it! :)
October 4th, 2014
I bought you chocolate - realised I couldn't get it to you - so have eaten it on your behalf
like it - indeed I do
October 4th, 2014
Nightmarish stuff! But then thats what you like! The gas mask could have been made more obvious - a zoom focus, perhaps!
October 4th, 2014
@northy Knowing my luck I'll trip over the sofa!
@juliedduncan Thank you very much :)
@maggiemae Thanks very much - good point for the next one!
@annied I hope you enjoyed it :( And thank you very much :)
October 4th, 2014
@graemestevens I did and you're welcome!
October 4th, 2014
@annied May the fleas of a thousand camels infest your armpits
October 4th, 2014
you'll be fine... it's one of those pouffy ones ;p
October 4th, 2014
@northy That's a relieve, The last time I tried it I ended up in the shower with a rather surprised body builder. Awkward.
October 4th, 2014
@graemestevens how kind of you lol
October 4th, 2014
bahaaaaaaaaaaa!
October 4th, 2014
@annied You're welcome ;) It's your own fault for flaunting your chocolate eating prowess when I have none in the house ;)
October 4th, 2014
@graemestevens yeh it was a ( bit below the belt )( low blow ) bit mean
October 4th, 2014
Wow, this is really good, love the lighting, so dramatic and kind of scary x fav
October 4th, 2014
@annied LOL, I don't know which one to deal with first...
@amyleewinfield Thanks very much, much appreciated
October 4th, 2014
@graemestevens :D you have a really strong theme cracking off there and each time I can see how much your refining it, its fantastic! makes me want to pick a theme and work on it !
October 4th, 2014
@graemestevens HAHAHAHA as I was innocently typing them my brain clicked in and so I tried again - and again LOL
October 4th, 2014
Honey, I'm home! Always fun to see what you work with.
October 4th, 2014
@bigugly LOL, hadn't thought of that...Kim would love it if I walked through the wall like this...maybe.
@annied My mind was a jumble of witty and filthy one liners...
@amyleewinfield Thanks very much indeed...one day I might get it right!
October 4th, 2014
@graemestevens LOL as was mine
October 4th, 2014
A song comes to mind when I see this shot...very cool indeed!
October 4th, 2014
@tasian Thanks very much, but now I have to know which song?
@annied To be honest low blows, particularly below the belt, are the best.
October 4th, 2014
Somehow you manage to do all great and imaginative photo every day.
October 4th, 2014
@graemestevens I immediately heard..."Another Brick in the Wall" by Pink Floyd...:)
October 4th, 2014
What can I say ... it is so much fun to see what you come up with and then follow along with the commentaries. I do so enjoy your creativity.
October 4th, 2014
Pretty awesome! I agree with @maggiemae about the gas mask, maybe just the turn of your head to show more? Overall, super shot
October 4th, 2014
@graemestevens LOL took you a while hahahahahahahahaha
October 4th, 2014
Love this! Creepy and cool.fav.Sorry I don't share chocolate...if I buy it..it's all for me.:)
October 4th, 2014
Awesome image love it
October 4th, 2014
Wonderful Graeme, love it as is. But if you want suggestions, how about something/s in/on your hands? Ray guns? Scissor-hands? Knives??
October 4th, 2014
@golftragic Whoops, forgot to say fav.
October 4th, 2014
Sort of like the Matrix, with a gas mask! Big creepy points... laughs over the jocularity in the comments, so thanks for that, too. :)
October 4th, 2014
Down right scary, I'd be running if I saw that in my back yard. Cool but creepy :)
October 4th, 2014
Excellent image Graeme.......you look suitably building up to that explosion ....perhaps a slight tighter crop perhaps?
October 4th, 2014
I agree with just a touch more light on the facemask for more impact, but the composition & your position have excellent tension. A really good concept, maybe even worth working more with in the future....
I might also have not hit the full white for the breakthrough of the wall - or placed a scene or colour creeping through from behind ( but that is just because I am in an uber-editing mood...)
October 4th, 2014
Sem
gas masks garner points in my book, great idea
October 4th, 2014
I think it is great - I want a gas mask.
October 4th, 2014
Looks pretty good the only thing I would've added, light bleeding from behind and maybe some flare too.
And thinking a bit more about it I would also have made the bricks even darker.
Great work and I really like concept
October 4th, 2014
Great shot! Creative and probably not what I should be looking at when I am struggling to sleep.
October 4th, 2014

October 4th, 2014
@dibzgreasley Excellent. I'll be walking through your wall to get it anytime now...
October 4th, 2014
excellent! Have no idea what it all means.. but excellent none the less. Current choc recommendations - whittakers 62% with hazelnuts and Lindt white with madagascar vanilla :)
October 4th, 2014
@brigette I'm currently addicted to that very Whittakers. I tried the peanut butter one last week...bizarre experience but quite nice by the end of the King size block ;)
October 4th, 2014
@brigette Oh, and thank you very much. How rude of me not to say that the first time around. Humble apologies.

Awesome! I love the light spilling onto the floor out of the 'hole' ;)
October 4th, 2014
@lisatown Thanks very much
October 4th, 2014
@graemestevens please don't do the behave thing too often - and would never bugger it literally

October 5th, 2014
I love it, it's very well executed and emotional. How did you do the background?
October 5th, 2014
@jess1204 Thanks very much - it's just a brick wall, in Lightroom I've pulled the exposure and white balance right up to the top on those bricks.
