It has been a long day in my corporate world. The sort of day when I've done nothing but put out fires started by other people. Had I been carrying a fire extinguisher the odds could have swung either way as to whether I would use it to put out a fire or make an amusing 'Kwoingngngngng' noise as I hit someone over the head with it.
On the bright side, I did force myself to take some down time and get some photos - somedays you have to remind yourself that you are entitled to a break, even if it is breaking someone else's spirit.

I am a confirmed and certifiable nutbar with a penchant for skulls, bones, blood, guts, fire and anything slightly peculiar and mostly bizarre. I also...
You also sound as if you are aware that there is another life out there besides employment! AND....that in the darkening light on this road, there just might be a cow in the road!
@pandorasecho Thanks very much indeed :) @orangecrush Thank you kindly good sir @joemuli Thanks very much :) @nanderson I think we all do! And thank you very much. @creativefool It certainly does, and thank you @voiceprintz Yep...me too! @maggiemae Yes there is, but not just yet...bills and all that! @brigette I certainly hope so and thanks very much
oh I do apologise for taking so long to travel this road - my fiddling with lensbaby and my frazzled brain are to blame - the distractions and side-tracking are worse than usual
hmmmm I must admit I love driving along roads like this but I do have my doors locked, windows only slightly down and weapon at the ready
@newbank Goodness. @chippy1402 Thanks very much, I like a good curve @andrewkru Thanks very much...mmmmm, cake @gigiflower I didn't go into the office either, it still sucked. @dide Thanks very much, and yes, very much so @karlow75 It is - sometimes it's wiser to just walk away @susale Thanks very much @annied Always, always travel with a weapon. @roseolivia Thanks very much :)
Very shuttle, yet effective sc. Also, great advise! In my box at work, I having a little wrapper from a Dove chocolate candy that says "don't forget to make time for yourself" I always take a break after I read it. ;-)
Kind of how I felt about my students yesterday - like I was trying to nail jello to the wall! Great ominous photo - I like how the cow sign is tilted ever so slightly. It creates a bit of uncertainty . . .
@amyleewinfield Thanks very much. Knowing where this road is d be more than apprehensive... ;) @yaorenliu You're not wrong :) @newbank Do you know, I have absolutely no idea why I said that. @thistle Thank you very much @sioux Thanks very much indeed @hermann Thanks very much - no more fun than usual @kt8ird Thanks very much - I love it to...from a safe distance... @eyeamlisa Thanks very much...you have chocolate? I'm on my way! @juliedduncan Thank you very much :) @annied I find that hard to believe...they let you drive? @denisefuller Thanks very much :) @anazad511 Thank you kindly :) @kali66 And especially in Taranaki, where the men are men and the livestock is nervous ;) @lynnilou Thank you very much @ukandie1 Thanks very much, appreciated @spikez Yes please :) @rosiekerr Thanks - I believe there were banjo plucking pluckers hiding in the trees @lisatown Thanks very much :)
@newbank It's morning - another day another dollar and all that...sigh @ounooi Thanks very much @happypat I could well have been my fault but I have chosen to deny all knowledge. It's what we do in the corporate world ;)
Poor old you , I feel (something) on your behalf! Have you just realised you are entitled to a break. Maybe if you added up all the ones you've missed you could retire early!
@graemestevens no, I ate the chocolate. I just have the wrapper. I am pretty sure they sell chocolate in New Zealand. Might be easier than making the trek to Michigan. :-)
I love the selective color here. Love. It. But I am wondering about the cows. Are they flying cows? Cause it looks like a mountain on one side and a cliff on the other.....
@eyeamlisa I don't blame you, it's my favourite food group! @tabarlett Thanks very much...it's a sign we have over here to tell us cows may or may not be on the road, in the hills, climbing the trees...we have a lot of cows...
Nice use of SC.....probably don't have as many cows wondering the streets of NZ as they do in India! As for taking breaks the more the better; it's better to break their spirits than their necks!
@orangecrush Thank you kindly good sir
@joemuli Thanks very much :)
