It was a bit foggy at 5.30 this morning when I was walking the dogs, so I guess technically we could have been called 'Growlers in the Mist'...anyway, moving swiftly on. This was the view from the garden this morning at 6.32am. It's difficult to have to look at this all the time.
I am a confirmed and certifiable nutbar with a penchant for skulls, bones, blood, guts, fire and anything slightly peculiar and mostly bizarre. I also...
That line of mist seems to make your mountain float on air Graeme......even the electric lines add to this photo...You are very near...hope it never erupts!! I like Growlers in the mist...suits you...I wonder if your dog has the same temperament as you?
@d_lopes Thanks very much :) @happypat Thanks very much - both my hounds are very placid for some reason... @nanderson Thanks very much :) @tammyputney Thank you kindly :) @jess1204 Thanks very much - lucked out I think ;) @pinkpaintpot Thanks very much indeed @joemuli Thank you very much @kali66 Thanks very much @anazad511 Thanks very much - I'm always up at that time for a walk
Now I truly understand why you don't like going into the office. It's not the people......it's because of this view. 1 million FAVs Mr Stevens. It's glorious. Just like you..........and me :)
@bill_fe Damn it man, go easy with those! @gigiflower Thank you most kindly nice lady - and yes, we are rather aren't we? @mamamayerle Thanks very much, appreciated :)
geeeez! sure does suck to be you! personally, i'd be lobbying to have someone remove the hydro poles... much easier to get the city to do it once and have it over and done with, rather than having to mess about in photoshop each time ;p lovely capture of that misty morning!
Fab shot, Graeme! :) I'm with others. It really does suck to be you and have to see this every morning (or some variation of natural awesomeness!)
@northy You mean there isn't a preset in photoshop that would take the power lines out as a matter of routine? I'm shocked. *groan* excuse the pun...it just slipped out. I swear!
Tough job, but someone has to do and you are just the person... lucky you, to see this mountain every day. Love the fog (or whatever), spreading across the base.
Oh wow fancy having to put up with that view all the time!!!! I absolutely LOVE NZ, we have been there 3 times now and I so want to go back. I even said to hubby I want to move there. Brilliant crisp clear photo with such breath-taking views :-)
@eyeamlisa Thanks very much :) @epcello Thanks very much...some days we get to see it, most days it's hidden behind it's cloud bank! @northy I know, I know, it's just awful. And for your reference I put those pylons in the shot in Photoshop. I just couldn't bear the beauty so I thought I need some sign human contamination ;) @888rachel Somedays I don't ;) @voiceprintz Thanks very much, it's a horrible view. Almost as bad as that pun ;) @rosiekerr Thanks very much - it looks different everyday. Right now I can't even see it because, as with most days, the clouds have rolled on in... @tabarlett Thank you very much :) @leanne333 With an attitude like that I'm sure we'd let you back in to the country ;) And thank you very much :) @mzzhope Thank you most kindly nice lady :)
@andrewkru Thanks very much @susale Thanks very much, horrific isn't it... @chippy1402 Thanks, took me ages to get the smoke machine going... @motherjane Thank you kindly :) @panthora Thanks very much, nothing wrong with a misty mountain... @dibzgreasley Thanks very much indeed @tracie8266 Thanks very much...at least you had the sense to leave Wanganui ;) @lisatown Thanks very much, it's hard work looking at it...
@graemestevens True...yeah poking your eyes out is far more easy way and quite worth the effort, it´s a horrendous sight after all.....maybe you could even make a pic out of it ;)
Well it beats being surrounded by a 3 metre high maize crop I suppose ;-) Easy Fav Graeme... and even a view like this wouldn't get me out of bed at 5.30am!
@lwain They'll be gone soon enough. They've been redundant for about 2 years now and a r due to come down sometime in the next 6 months! And thank you very much @kevin365 Thanks very much - I'm quite partial to a good growler @lilminimonka It's sickening isn't it? And thank you very much @kiwiellen Thank you kindly :) @tellefella Thanks very much indeed @annied It is quite awful isn't it? @vignouse Thanks very much - if it wasn't for the two greyhounds I'd sleep the day away and miss this... @pammerritt Thanks very much :) @skipt07 Thank you very much :) @roseolivia It makes me sick...but thank you very much anyway ;) @andy3168 Thanks very much, appreciated @lynnilou LOL I haven't heard that for years! And thank you kindly nice lady @jaynspain Thanks very much :) @eilert Thank you very much :)
@graemestevens I don't know how you bear it - shocking - I would much prefer to look out on a tarred road and the houses on the other side phhhhhttttt!
@graemestevens@annied I think it is rude that my work has gotten in the way of responding to comments today. I think I shall resign and then have the available time to devote to you both and my own SELF ADULATION.
@golftragic It's hard work everyday - and thanks very much :) @tonygig Thank you kindly :) @gigiflower@annied Very rude indeed. In fact, I think we should form a "no work" club (while still demanding to be paid appropriately) so that we can sit around all day basking in our glory.
@graemestevens@annied That is by far the smartest idea ANYBODY has ever come up with. I think we should call up our respective Prime Ministers and demand this be passed as a law immediately. Then we can bask. Bask all day. Calling each other duckers. Smart duckers.
@graemestevens@gigiflower brilliant concept - yes no need for politicians - just some heavy artillery and maybe some hired hitmen to dispose of those we do not have time to dispose of ourselves
@gigiflower@graemestevens ah yes - in the interest of fair play that is probably true
Mr Stevens you have a filthy potty mouth that sleeps in the gutter!!!!!
will that work for you Sam?
