When all else fails and inspiration has fled to the four corners I like to hang my head out of the dining room window and admire the food that wanders through the paddocks outside our house without a care. If the farmer knew how ravenously, rapaciously hungry his cattle made me I'm sure that he would put them elsewhere - thankfully he is not a pig farmer as not only could I not stomach the smell but bacon is, without a shadow of doubt, my favourite vegetable.

@kwind We do have a rather spectacular view across farms to the mountains in the distance (well, about a twenty minute drive and you can be in the foothills)...but I'm still uninspired today
On the contrary the farmer is happy you are salivating over his cows, it is the vegans and vegetarians of this world he dislikes! As for bacon it should be a food group to be eaten every day :)
@northy I was going to say thanks but I know have that song stuck in my head...and yes, chocolate is most definitely on my list of cherished food groups as well.

can you imagine the *&cking surprise - shock - horror on my "beautiful" -( I am indulging myself ) face when I saw cows here - however - it turned to rapture and love because cows are gorgeous - yes for food too - and I agree about the pigs - I love - pork - bacon - ribs - mmmmmmmm

I think the one of the right is on to you. I don't eat cow - we just get our meat from the grocery store - all neatly wrapped in plastic (I hope you know this, but I am being very fecicious). ;-)

@annied I'm having wine as we speak - Today was Waitangi Day (Australia Day but for NZ) so it was a day off...luvverly. The less time I spend at my ducking horrible job the better.
