Looking to Home

This was taken at the attractively named North Mole Beach in Wanganui. Off in the distance is Mount Taranaki and home.
Its quite majestic and almost surreal seen from this point! Good to view!

Horrible! That clear sky, majestic mountain and clean sea. How do you manage?

oh my, colour! looks great, really like the shot. especially the lines in the sky
August 13th, 2015
@pinkpaintpot It came as a surprise to me as well - I wanted the hill to stand out and in B&W it just didn't.
August 13th, 2015
I removed the colour from this using brain power only … and it looks good, although it needed some selective adjustments. The perfect balance of your composition remained unaltered
August 13th, 2015
@yrhenwr My brain is somewhat fried today, but when I tried B&W it just didn't seem...right. Home is one of the few places that I think of in colour. Now I need to vomit.
August 13th, 2015
@graemestevens You really need to work on that over-reaction of yours!
I suggest going for a run. :-)
August 13th, 2015
@yrhenwr I bought a car so that I would never have to run again.
August 13th, 2015
the mole has icing sugar on it... what a dumb name for a beach, I am sure you could have come up with something better.

Instant Fav, amazing foreground, and love the mountain...

We tried walking up Mt Taranaki in Jan 2014, middle of summer, gorgeous weather then the night before she had a snow fall at the top so we only got 3/4 of the way up and had to turn around.... we will return!
August 13th, 2015
@alinz I've only been up there once, many years ago. No sooner did I get to the top than the clouds rolled in...
@nicoleterheide Thanks very much :)
@denisef58 Thank you kindly :)
@susale Thank you very much :)
