The same wreck, just from a different angle...which is no doubt a very similar statement to that made by the captain of this ill fated ship when he ran aground.
I am a confirmed and certifiable nutbar with a penchant for skulls, bones, blood, guts, fire and anything slightly peculiar and mostly bizarre. I also...
Kind os surprised that this is all that is left of a steel ship...guess 100 years is a long time. I wonder if some of the parts were salvaged or scavenged.
@gardencat I believe that the boiler is further out to sea, but with the force of the winds we get here, the abrasive sand and salt spray...100 years on it's doing okay I think...
Stark reminder that nature rules. Interesting that it didn't seem to work in black and white, I would have thought it would. I do really like it in colour anyway.
Nothing sadder to see than a part of a ship, but you've framed it perfectly and with such a beautiful background. All the rocks -- makes me think it's why the ship ran aground.
@taffy It's not the most hospitable of beaches...and thank you @izzyromilly Thanks very much - does it start with "there once was a man from Nantucket..."? @paul10 Thanks very much - it actually not a big wreck - at a guess I would say that it's 3 1/2 metres tall (what's left of it anyway) @hrs Completely...that and for some reason it didn't want to work in B&W
@graemestevens haha unfortunately not unless youre thinking of some kind of innocent nautical bucket rhyme. Theres a really awesome poem about a shipwreck i always read as a kid but dunno if ill ever be able to find it

@maggiemae He was probably having an affair with her ;)
@mona65 Thank you very much - it does lend itself to colour more than B&W (unfortunately)
