It is a sad commentary about my age that the most exciting thing I am doing on New Year's Eve is using my new vacuum, washing the dog's bedding and spending the night with "my girls"!
Katy-
I'm sitting here wondering when I got to old for New Year's. We just had a really nice grilled steak dinner and are staying put and off the roads this evening. I am finishing the laundry......guess I could do the dog beds.
Happy New Year, my friend.
@cdonohoue@grammyn@vskolnik Welcome us to the "old folks' club!" We are staying home, having either pizza or baked potatoes for dinner, and may go "all out" and celebrate with some molasses popcorn while watching Bowl games! :)
What a great shot. I did not do any cleaning. Had a nice dinner cooked by my husband and enjoyed it with our son which is so rare these days. Watched the ball drop and now back here, though ready to sleep and hubby is watching a movie. Happy New Year, Katy.
Ha! This year I heard that commercial again about not getting your wife anything with a plug. But then I thought how some people (sometimes me) LIKE things with plugs. So ...go figure. My vacuum is pathetic...we bought a very reasonably priced (aka cheap) one at Sears when we got married in 1998. I really need a new one! So....I am happy for you with your awesome new vaccum!
@espyetta One of my husband's employees said he wouldn't be as brave as my husband with that gift but I did like it! I guess I am more pragmatic than most! thanks, MB!
@grammyn My husband once, long ago, bought me a phone for my apartment...I loved that! And he has bought me Ipads and mp3players and computer stuff....and I LOVE that!
I love it. LOL
Nothing wrong with being practical. That 'no plug' Christmas gift rule is silly. If you're going to give someone a present, it should be something THEY want, not something you think they SHOULD want.
Hooray to celebrating New Year's Eve by vacuuming and doing laundry. ;-) I'm in your camp.
