My husband bought me a new hat to do yard work with. Was that his way of encouraging me to get with it? I'm not sure! As you can see the hat was into it ....but I wasn't!
The sandbox group is doing levitation this week which is something l have wanted to try before but not wanting to do a full bodied selfie has slowed me down. The hat was a perfect compromise! l am reasonably certain l didn't do it exactly as I should have (because I don't have photoshop) but the end result appears to be passable to me.
i would fav this a million times if i could. this is excellent! the lighting is perfect which makes it look so natural! bravo, girlfriend! i haven't time to do the levitation yet but it's one thing i've been wanting to do.
I did read somewhere what to do with this levitation thing but haven't tried it properly. Well done with this - its like 'throwing your hat into the ring"!
This is amazing Katy. How do you keep up with all that is done on this site? It is like you tossed your hat but indeed is clear and love the hat by the way. FAV
It is great!!!!! How did you do it if no pS? In have done it in gimp. The steps were so long and convoluted I cannot remember how. I now realize PhotoWizard app on iPad and iPhone would probably allow me to do it because it has masking and blend two pics . I would just need the tripod and two perfectly aligned pics. Anyway... This is so amazing! Especially with no pS
@summerfield Don't give up! i know you will get it! It is almost the same as the first lesson where we used the WWYD image. Take a look at that and go for it!
@espyetta I am so glad you like it! I used a tripod and still got two images not exactly lined up! Im not sure how that happened but the trees in the background blended so I didn't need to finesse it too much! Basically I cut out the hat and pasted it onto the background! i had to paint out the post it was hanging on where it showed on the hat! that was probably the hardest part because of all those lines!
@francoise LOL! I know what you mean! I did a little more than that but would have been happy doing less. It is like house work! Once you start there is always something else that needs doing! Thanks for you kind support!
@summerfield oh, that makes my heart ache! You know I lived there for almost 20 years and I still call that home! How exciting to know that my hat is still there! Truth be told he looks more like your hat though!
I saw this on the levitation page and am popping in to compliment you. This is a very creative way to solve the "no selfies" problem - I am not ready for that either. This is a fun and whimsical shot. :)
