The opening words to a song popular the year after I was born. My dad sang me and my sister to sleep with it more times than I can remember...but l do remember him singing it often. Now MY children ask him to sing it for them whenever they see him. This is the music for that song on the piano he and mom bought for me when I was in high school.

I am glad you posted a link to this post of yours, Katy. I have never heard this song but what a beautiful song. What a wonderful memory to have as well. Your Dad had an awesome voice and you have memories for a lifetime. This is such a great photo. One to frame. FAV
