Sorry to read this. We feel their absence deeply at times such as Christmas, Birthdays and miss the sound of their voice. It is great to have such wonderful memories to remind us.

Oh, Katy, my heart knows how yours is aching right now. It seems like just yesterday that my father passed. I never met yours, but I could tell he was a lot like mine in the way you spoke about him and how much you loved him. While you will definitely miss him here, memories and time spent together will be a great comfort. Hold on to faith and know that God is watching over you. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.

It was a bit difficult in lots of ways and I really can't get excited about Christmas this year but I am comfortted in the knowledge that he lived a wonderful full life and he was surrounded by family when he passed. Can't ask for much more than that. Good friends like you and my faith keep me going . Thanks so much.
I hope you were able to spend time with family for Christmas, Katy. Miss you on here too but sure understand. We drove to see my Mom on Monday and took her to lunch and then left to see our nephew who lost his Mom (my sister in law, hubbies sister) on May 2 this year. His guardian his guardians girlfriend took us all to dinner. It was nice to spend time with them. Our 14 year old nephew was sick over Thanksgiving after Rheumatic Fever soon after they moved from this area we live in. What a year it has been. Hugs to you!
