The second week of the flash of Red challenge is focusing on texture as it is affected by light. Since today was a rainy overcast day there really was no sharp contrast of light and shadow but I was still able to get some texture in this image.

i thought from the feed it was a snowflake. i had plenty of beautiful snowflakes but guess what? i didn't bring my macro filter. tarnation! there was even a five-point star shaped flake and a star of david snow flake but did i get anything? no! your textures show off well even in high key. aces, girlfriend! aces!
@summerfield I see you and Bill both thought it was a snowflake. Would that it were. Unless I move my chances of getting one of those is pretty small although it is on my bucket list. Thanks for your continued thoughtful comments, Vikki @linnypinny it is a bit of a stretch but I am so grateful for your kind words Lin @kwind Thanks Kim. I am glad you like it and stopped to comment @olivetreeann Thanks Ann @lesip Very generous of you Leslie @darsphotos I appreciate it Darlene. Thanks @bill_fe I wish it were! @kwiksilver Thanks Gillian. Not as much as I would have liked but enough to count @ruthmouch thank you my dear and yes they are. They are the reason for the shot actually and no one but you even noticed them.
