The very essence of life that is never to be taken for granted! Perfectly represented here with the free-flowing tap. We need to be grateful for the numerous luxuries that we enjoy.
I ike this close up of the water spray and your hand. It's amazing how far some people do have to go for water. If you have access to Netflix, the movie "The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind" is wonderful. It shows the difficulties some people have and the determination they show to improve their situation and that of their family and community.
You have expressed this very well and it reminds me of so many missionary groups and agencies that go to remote places just to help find water and dig wells. Good shot!
amen to this. back in the old country, we had to fetch the water from a deepwell owned by a store owner. they didn't make us pay for the water, but we had to wait in a long line up before we could get to the pump. i had to carry on my right shoulder two used up kerosene cans attached to a bamboo pole and a small bucket with my left hand for balance. i'd go back and forth until i've filled a big drum. we used to have a pump right next to our house but the well ran dry over time. that's why when i had my first apartment, i made sure we didn't have to fetch water although we were by then used to having a big drum of water filled. we are indeed lucky we have that a-plenty here in america and canada. aces on the shot, girlfriend!

@grammyn I always mean to respond to some of your comments on Mondays but forget. Thank you. I'm glad you chose to do it with me. I know we're grateful for the same things, but it's interesting to see the different photos. Creative minds, right?!
@summerfield I'm grateful that I've had everything I have now almost from birth. I am fascinated by your stories of your youth and am in awe of your continuing positive attitude.
