Oh, wow!! That would be my FIRST experiment! I recently read the instructions for Mom's serger and I was overwhelmed and afraid to attempt it!! But I loved that she had made helpful notes in the instructions! ❤
thanks, i'll make do with my needle and thread, as all i ever need to sew is the loop for the charms of the masks. goodness, i don't even mend anymore. is it mend or darn? darn it! no, mend it! maybe "sew it" 😂
About 6 years ago I bought a new sewing machine, made a cotton blouse, hated it, threw it away, put the machine in the closet. I admire your knowledge.
@dutchothotmailcom LOL! I love that Esther! @milaniet sometimes I think this is much more complicated than what I learned on. I probably never would have started if this is where I had to start! @wyomingsis I may get around to trying it! Do you have her sewing machine too? Those notes are priceless @lesip just a few! @summerfield and you do very well. My little loops are perfect and I doubt many even know how to do that anymore! I just recently discovered the sunflower mask has TWO loops since they are done so well! Mending is clothing darning is socks? @mcsiegle LOL! Who knew it would be in a sewing machine too?! @madamelucy Well I might give it to you but the shipping would be awful. Perhaps you could get one in a store there? @Dawn LOL! that is a fair question. Actually for the embroidery once it starts I don't except to change the thread colors @30pics4jackiesdiamond If I could figure it out I would give you one! @ludwigsdiana See my answer to her and thank you Diana @olivetreeann LOL! I was going to use that phrase but I wasn't sure if everyone would know what it meant! @tunia LOL! I love that story! I have had many projects like that and it takes me a while to come back after one of them! Thank you for your positive support Tunia. @louannwarren LOL! Well there is a definite learning curve but I have been at it for a while.......still not completely proficient with it!
I do have her machine and it's still got it's hiccups in the foot pedal and the stitches sometimes skip. 🤔 And the treadle machine I have was Dad's Grandma's... with the original instruction book!!
I don't know what treadle you learned on or where it went.
@wyomingsis Awesome! I think mom got rid of it probably before you were born. Maybe not because I remember it in the house on Banks. I think it was her mother's.
It would seem these are helpful settings. I'd probably have to study it each time I used it. Sometimes those helpful images look like Chinese script to me. They do not compute.
