Grassy Bale

My neighbors have these bales of hay to use in their gardening projects and I thought it was interesting that they are growing grass voluntarily.

I have a similar photo in my project from about a week ago. Even though I consider myself somewhat of a country girl, this was the first year I realized that grass grows on hay bales. My parents were a bit surprised when I asked about it, because apparently it happens regularly! lol.

@maeva I am sure the seeds were blown in by wind and the grass is for the bird if they want it! ;~}

so they were still alive to sprout new grass in them.. never seen anything like this...that's why I also love 365.
