Last year I tried to force my poinsettia from green to red for several months by putting it in a dark place and giving it light for one hour each day. It didn't work, probably because I often forgot to turn on the light. This year I did it in a few minutes, thanks to Santa and my NEW CAMERA! It isn't perfect but for my first attempt at color swap I am pleased! ;.}
@kimfaria They will grow all year long but I have never had one turn color again. This one was being tossed out by someone and I rescued it. In reality it is totally green.
Now a little "devil's advocate about sooc... because I struggle with the whole sooc issue. :) Do you feel like maybe sooc is a stretch when your camera can do so much editing? Or, that maybe sooc isn't really that big of a deal because of that? Last week you could have posted a photo of your poinsettia with red leaves, but you could not have called it sooc.
@marilyn I have to tell you I struggled with that very thought when I posted it. Maybe it should only be sooc if it is on automatic. Good question and one I think I have seen posted before in the discussions. Perhaps it really is an individual perception
@grammyn For me it's really neither here nor there and I only occasionally remember to tag it when I do post sooc. I love playing with editing, especially using frames so I don't often have sooc anyway. :)
