Gazette des Beaux-Arts 1884

I am not sure where this book even came from but, aside from my husband, it is the oldest thing in our house!
1884! WoW...that's cool! It must be a a "first edition" so I wonder if you have something valuable on your hands. Antiques Roadshow material, maybe! Nice shot, Katy.

@debsphotos Thanks, Debbie. It is all in French and the pictures all have a tissue covering them. I'll have to see if i can figure out if it is a first edition. As you can see it is not in the best condition either.

@madamelucy Thanks, Terri. They are a nice commentary on the times they were written aren't they?

@kimfaria I think so too.

@thesandbox5 Actually I can read a little of it but a very limited amount.

@nyusha I'm not sure it is magical but it is definitely very interesting!

Wow that goes back a long time..I've racked my brain and can't come up with anything really old enough to call it antique.

@bruni This shows its age. I have a wedding band that was my great-grandmother's but it doesn't really look old. I also have my grandmother's and again it doesn't LOOK very old.
