Caw Caw! by grammyn

Caw Caw!

I am sure this is breaking some sort of rule because part of the crow is hidden by the tree branches but I really liked the way the light hits his wings and considering he was about 80 feet in the air I think it turned out OK
I'm pretty sure you just got a great capture of the bird playing a rousing game of hide-and-seek with you! I love the light on the wing and the blue of the sky and the crispness of the bird and the branches. I am such a sucker for bare trees and tree branch silhouettes! :)

I wish I were as creative as you in my explanation! Very clever and.....yes that is what I meant! I am so glad you like it!

Really pretty light. This is so clear and the black of his body against the blue sky is beautiful.

What rule? I don't see any rules in MY book. (smile!) I love that wing too . . gorgeous colors. A shot like this is just too hard to resist. :)

What a great bird shot. The light really highlights the detail on the wing. And what a long distance to shoot through limbs. That is really difficult.

Deb
Are there rules? Nice shot :)

I'm not sure what rule you would have broken. Photography is an art...no right or wrong to me. Great job, Katy!

I like the light on his wings, too. Very crisp shot, too, for such a distance.

He's a cheeky bird, isn't he? Lovely photo and the twigs seem to be in an "x marks the spot" for the eye.

@eudora Thanks, Diane. I had to brace my hand on the car to steady the camera. I should take my tripod with me wherever I go too but usually don't.

@peterdegraaff Thanks, Peter. You always seem to notice what no one else does. I kind of like his claws too.

@jennwearing I love" cheeky" we don't use that phrase in the US and it is such a descriptive word! ;~} Thanks so much, Jennifer.
