Lago Patzcuaro x 3
I am slowly learning how to use Photoshop. I'm actually learning it more by hacks...seeing how something is done but really have no clue how it works and only a wee tad idea about layers and none about masks. Anyway, this is my first somewhat ok composite. Three poor shots taken in Mexico last March, cut and pasted together. And doctored with levels and photo filters and cloning and healing, etc. And I couldn't find a moon so I cut out a street lamp. But it was fun and definitely good practice.
And my first entry to composite challenge...my favorite season - spring
Edits are cool and a steep learning curve as well. I go to the University of YouTube for 'classes' all the time. I may not understand the behind and whys but if I can get how they their end result and do it myself, then I've passed the course. I am in the dark about masks but mainly because I haven't tried them. Photoshop can be helpful and frustrating, at least it is for me.
Once you get used to working with layers and other aspects of composite work it becomes very hard to get it out of your system! Good for you in being willing to learn. Congrats on being a finalist in Composite 20 and thanks for joining in!

I like the surreal quality in the image.
