Impression of A Hint of Gold on the River This Morning

I decided to play with yesterday's image, using PS, to get a more "impressionistic" version...ala Eva Polak for the current artist challenge. I really do need to watch more of her videos! In the first one I watched (which is also the only one so far) she talks about impressionism relying on light, color and shape and their relationship to one another.

A lovely, emotive image with the sensations of warm sun and the promise of a beautiful day! My only comment is if it were mine, I might have cropped it into a letterbox shape removing those green trees in the background. See what you think? Your choice of course!
