And then there were three...

A week ago I posted a photo of a duck with eleven newborn ducklings ( http://365project.org/haagjes/365/2011-04-11). Today, only three of them were left. In this picture, it looks as if daddy duck is protecting his remaining children...

Aaawww! I was going to say how peaceful the picture looked, but then I read the story. How sad! It's still a beautiful picture though. :) Lovely colors and composition.

Lenteverdriet. Ik vind het moment dat je de teleurstelling van R. hebt vastgelegd prachtig, naast de kleuren en de compositie!

R. staat er inderdaad een beetje verslagen bij, of is dat toeval?

@realjaco @halkia Ja, R. vond het wel zielig, maar ze was ook net van de helling naar beneden naar de vijver gelopen (waardoor de eenden het water in waren gevlucht), dus misschien stond ze ook gewoon een beetje wankel.
