No, I didn't visit the beach today and ended up in a 70s timewarp. Instead, I semi succesfully tried to merge two photos of me, one with my Mum and elder sister in 1976 and a very recent one with my own girls, both taken at the beach.
As this is my third year on the project I am not necessarily going to focus on the journaling aspect all the time. First and foremost I want to refind my joy in photography. Rediscovering Adobe Photoshop is definitely part of that.
Although I like the result of today's effort, it is obvious that these are two pics superimposed on one another. I know where I went wrong. I should have edited the digital photo far more to match the texture, colour and pixelation of the scanned analog 1976 one. I did some rudimentary editing beforehand but I was very eager to actually start merging the pics. My erasing is a bit too sloppy in places, too.
I think you're saying that because you know what you did - for me looking at it it looks fine! Your original photo is great - I'd have to search to find anything with all the heads on! Your babies are growing up!
