Eggs in the incubator. by happypat

Eggs in the incubator.

Four breeds of eggs in here hoping to hatch on the 3rd April. This machine turns the eggs every four hours.
ooooh.....eggciting! I remember having to look after some like this for a friend a long time ago. We were terrified we would 'kill' them over the week end! Amazing what nature does by itself....turning, humidity, temperature!
Wonder how long till they hatch!

That machine looks great! Much easier than hand turning I would image. Where does the moisture come from to stop the embryo sticking to the inside of the shell?

@sarah19 Sarah it takes 21 days for a chicken to hatch from memory. Been a while since I raised any.

Son says there is a tray for water under the eggs & you top it up every few days.
