This is taken this morning during the judging of all the exhibits. The ones at the table are receiving the slips of paper the judge hands in , checking who has won then filling in the score sheet . The first ,second & third get red, blue or yellow cards & trophy winners a rosette. I was sitting in the spare seat & that is my daughter Cathy in the blue jacket & granddaughter Lydia helping too. it was absolutely pouring down & we could hear it on the roof, there was no one about at all outside but the sun did come out for a bit. Another day tomorrow & then take it all down again. As we were about to leave a film camera came & interviewed & filmed us! We had to walk up & down & look natural ..it will be available on line from tomorrow lunch time !
Lots to see in the picture: beautiful hanging baskets, ginormous onions and sweet sweet peas ... it must have been quite a sight 'in the flesh'! Sorry the rain came.
What a bummer about the rain Pat - the best laid plans .......... and all of that. Hopefully you've had fun, even if the rain has kept your numbers down. Make sure you post the link to the film crew's piece about you all.
@murnane Ha ha Marg I thought I might check it out first !!! There will be lots of stuff about the show & we were filmed last so might be a bit of wading through !!
Oh, so sorry about the rain. Watching the British Open on tv I thought about how the rain would effect your event. Hopefully today will be a brighter day. How great that you were interviewed and filmed!
