I don't know what was going on here ! I was actually photographing the book stall but then this woman started arranging this girls head gear not bothering that she was in the middle of people choosing books .It was a bit of a get up but I thought it marginally more interesting than the books !!
This is a very good second hand book stall ..all nice & clean with elastic bands round them £1.80 each & will buy them back when you have finished reading them. It is very popular. I'm not sure why they have elastic round them but it's surprising how that little band makes them look more saleable some how !
We have been invited out for a pizza tonight with daughter & son in law ( a bit of spare time in between ferrying the kids round hither & thither! ) I will comment when I get back , I am a bit behind today !
Love your title - was it better hidden?! I need to cart some books to the book stall and see if he'll buy them from me - our shelves are groaning. It looks like they've got a great range here and you can't argue with £1.80 with buy back!!
@judithg Ditto with the books here too but I do like lots of books in a house ! I have my Kindle now so don't tend to buy much, I just browse the book shops & note titles I like the look of then buy on my Kindle.
Pat great photo (love the vibrant pink) and a nice narrative too....oooh you are a kindle reader now too, you are very IT literate in the 'knowles household' :)
@phil_howcroft Kids bought me a Kindle last Christmas when I was stopped at the airport & had to unload all my books before boarding the plane to NZ..I was well over weight! Books in NZ are double the price here so have to take my reading matter with me . The Kindle is great but I only have one grumble & that is you can't just have a quick refresher look at anything you have forgotten before as you can with a conventional book !! Some one might have the answer to that ??
they do the band thing here too...I always thought it was a deterent to reading in the shop and also to stop second hand book floppy page syndrome whereby the books become so lose they fall open at a moments notice and in the latter stages can even lose a page or too or even worse the cover ;)
