We have had a wonderful weekend away in this lovely hotel near Accrington. This beautiful scene greeted us this morning, a slight morning frost even though it was 9.30am & only just woken up ...a very late night the night before & I am talking 4am, but a fun time had by all. !!!!!!!
I have had a quick look at some of your photos I have missed & will comment if I can.
Well that looks beautiful!! 4am!! And if you said Accrington to most Southerners they would either not have a clue where it is or be thinking ugly mill town - a stunning part of the country!
Beautiful! Hope you can have early nights to catch up on that one!
But if it was fun the time flies! Beautiful view and grounds and so nice to get away and be waited on when you are so often doing if for others!
@judithg Thank you Judith, people would be so surprised at the wonderful country side in & around these old Lancashire mill towns particularly around Nelson, Colne & the east side of our county !
@jmj@sarah19 This was a stunning former mill owners country house & the staircase alone was stunning ! It was good to look at other peoples ideas too * it sounds silly but have learnt a new way to fold the first sheet on the toilet roll !!!! LOL !
Absolutely gorgeous morning lighting! The trees are set off so beautifully. Wonderful composition and angle. Lovely place. Haven't had a "four a.m." in ages and ages. :)
You lucky thing spending the night in this amazing looking building. It looks like a castle. You have captured a perfect looking morning too Pat - the lighting is lovely. I can feel the crisp bite to the air.
Sounds like you had a grand time. Looking at your photo I am reminded of how beautiful it is over there. We had such a fantastic trip the last time we were there that I am ready to go back and travel around some more.
