Have been shopping for thread to match Lydia's prom dress today.
Because she has been doing her exams she hasn't had time to try shoes on until last Friday so all a bit last minute as the 'do' is next Tuesday. Her dress needs to be taken up by an inch & the usual lady who does alterations is on holiday so panic! She has some one now able to shorten it so much relief!
The colour is called Pebble & this is SOOC but for frame.

I was really cross with myself & went all the way back to my daughters house (10 miles ! ) to take them again....am I mad or what ? Worth it for your fave though!

@judithg Lydia has completely past her peak now just Geography tomorrow & textiles next week. Just heard tonight that Cathy has passed her exams & is now a fully qualified Podiatrist..so pleased for her. She hasn't heard what pass she has yet will do in next 24 hours.
@happypat Ooooh well done Cathy! Is Lydia on GCSE's? They've been going on forever! The worst will be over by the w/end for Rachel - she just has to keep the momentum going for another week.
@judithg Poor things a horrible time! Lydia is on GCSE's , Jack is on A levels but doing a second year because he dropped Chemistry. You will have to take Rachel somewhere nice & hot when she's finished!

Allan heard today he has passed his 3 Gaelic exams which he sat last month so all the study has been worth it! Hard going at the end of a working day and two more years before it is completed. But keeps him out of mischief!!!!
What a marvelous composition, Pat!! I love the color of this dress...and the beautiful folds/pleats. I know that Lydia will look absolutely stunning in this gorgeous dress. This is such a excellent shot!
@bpaquette@digitalrn No No I am not doing the alterations! That is one thing I am absolutely no good at & my idea of a nightmare !!! The pleats part is the bodice Barbara but there are three layers to take up!
