I was really pleased to see my dandelion photo win first prize in it's section today at the show!!!
All together I won a first, a second & two fourth prizes so was satisfied with that.
A very long day today but all the judging went well with not too many hitches. One of the floral art displays toppled over & we had to patch it up with sticky tape which was a little worrying at the time but all was well!
We are back again tomorrow at 8am & then all down at 6pm.
The weather has been great with no rain!!!

@kwiksilver I am reading the 34th book in the saga of The Moorland Dynasty by Cynthia Harrod-Eagles. These books are amazing full of history from the 1200's to the one I am on now which is set in the 1930's.

@happypat That sounds wonderful - reminds me a bit of the Mazo de la Roche sagas I read many years ago - can't even remember the name! Wakefield? will have to google! And .. have you read the previous 33?
@kwiksilver Yes Gillian I have read all 34 of them...just this minute finished the last. Another one due out in September I believe! Will check out the Mazo de la Roche series, I love a good family saga!! The books are so thick you can really get your teeth in them!!

@karenann I was so chuffed when I went to look Karen & whats more I came second in the colour section of wild flowers...if I had been first I would have won a cup!!!! Must try harder next year & put all my knowledge I have learnt on this site to use!!
