Open all Hours. by happypat

Open all Hours.

This hardware shop reminds me of the TV programme with Ronnie Barker & David Jason popular in the seventies & eighties.
Fancy having to put this lot away every night!
i would not want to be the one putting all this stuff away every night :). nice capture. lov ehte colors in the picture. never realized that hardware store could be colorful.

That is a lot of colorful stock! Poor David Jason was always put upon by Ronnie Barker in that show! Great shot.

This is what the shops here do...put their wares on the pavement and I have the same thought, a lot to carry in and out everyday!

Good way to expand the shop's selling space!

Maybe that's why it's called DIY ...lol. Seriously, that is alot of work to tote it in and out everyday. A great capture, Pat. Very cheery and colorful. AND inviting to the customer, I think. We have a few like that here too. Maybe it does sell more goods ... who knows.

They are a bit mad with all that lot! I wonder if it has a hand-eating till! I often pass a green Morris Traveller with a 'support the midwives' sticker and think of Nurse Gladys Emmanuel!
July 21st, 2012
That's crazy!!! How much do they lose through "shoplifting"?! Great fun shot.

What lovely bright colours. We have a shop near us like this one. You can buy everything you want and if they haven't got it they will get it by noon tomorrow.

Looks like a great sight. I'm amazed that he doesn't get 'done' for obstructing the pavement.

@ellida A big wide pavement in front of this display Graham. This shop is in Kirkham, don't know if you know it?

@happypat I'm sure I remember Kirkham - passing through from Preston to Blackpool - before someone invented the M55!
