The center of Great Britain. by happypat

The center of Great Britain.

Dunsop Bridge is one of two places which are supposed to be the exact center of our country the other being Haltwhistle in Northumberland but generally I think the vote goes to Dunsop Bridge.

This is the cafe where we had our cup of tea & toasted teacake after our walk yesterday.

Three good things:
I picked my newly framed painting I bought in Kenmare up from the framers.
2.I am not stiff from yesterdays walk!
3.I have booked our hotel at Auckland Airport for one nights stay until we are picked up by family.
Nice shot Pat, now do the Dunsop Bridgers make much of a fuss about this fact? I do hope so! Auckland sounds exciting. Mind you, I've been that busy today, so does a cup of tea and a teacake!!

@seanoneill Oh you can't beat a cup of tea & a teacake Sean!!! Yes I think the villagers generally are very proud of being the center of our little place on the planet! A very small village with a bridge over the River Hodder & lots of ducks & stone cottages.

@sarah19 Yes it's coming up fast now & one of the hotels was full on that night so thought I had better get cracking. We don't land until 23.50 so too late to be picked up so will stay the night at the airport.
