I popped into Blackpool this afternoon while Harry was watching the highlights of the Grand Pris.
I was rather ambitious in getting a size too small in a pair of skinny black trousers so had to change them for the next size up!!
The sea front was very busy with people strolling about. The tide was in so they were all on the Promenade. I must say I was quite pleased when I saw this little girl in her red coat.
You must be sick of my Blackpool shots but I can't resist! Thank you all so much for continuing to support my project by your comments & suggestions....I feel I almost know you all personally!!
Three good things:
1. Paracetamol.
2. A chance of a small holiday in Portugal next June, a place we have never been to!
3. A glorious sunny Autumn day!
Can't ever have too many Blackpool shots Pat - I think you're only just skimming the surface!! And if you don't want tasteful ones you could do a whole year. Gorgeous blues here with a lovely red pop. Does the tide often come in that high?
@seanoneill Thank you Sean. We live 8 miles inland from Blackpool so near enough. It is very easy to get to from our house & we go much more than we thought we would when we moved here.
@judithg The beach is a long one Judith but the tide pretty much comes in the whole way along every day ,there might be a small section uncovered near the central pier where I photoed the gypsies.
I think I missed the gypsies....will go to look! This is glorious Pat....wonderful composition, fabulous skies and then along came Little red Riding Hood!!
Lovely shot, the red makes such a nice pop of color against the blues of the water and sky. I love your Blackpool shots, keep them coming as much as you wish! :)
@busylady No Judith all the three piers in Blackpool are the originals , well as far as I know & they certainly look old. I think it was a place down in the south of England where the pier burnt down.
Fabulous pop of red amidst the gorgeous blues of sky and water. Love your Blackpool shots, Pat. It's like traveling without leaving home. Although actually being there would be loads more fun! :) Speaking of traveling, I hope that trip to Portugal comes to fruition for you and Harry!
I love your shots of Blackpool...I've never been but i have to say I was so disappointed in the base of the tower.....nothing like the Eiffel! keep em coming Pat!!
