An abstract today as I felt like playing around with editing!
On the ongoing hunt for the perfect computer I tried a Mac Air today.....well say no more, it has really spoilt me now !!!!
Three good things:
1. A clean car & my hair done.
2. Have bought a new freezer to replace the broken one...delivery free & take away the old one.
3. The final of Britains Best Baker tonight...three men competing & who said men couldn't cook!
This is terrific and obviously you are feeling frivolous!! Do you think we would be able to master the different system that Apple uses at our age? I was also tempted as was told the best for arty stuff!!! What a good day you've had, looking forward to the finals!! Love your silvery holes, no idea what they are!!
@fannyb Well this is the worry Fanny a whole new system but the speed of it was divine & a work of art to look at! My head tells me I don't need such a good piece of equipment but I always did like the best!!!!!
Th holes are a candle holder with tea lights in ...the time of the year when I light my candles!!
Fantastic abstract shot, Pat! Well done with the editing. How exciting that you are considering a Mac...I know that Mac users just love them. Sounds like you've had a lovely and productive day!
@jtookey150@peggysirk Still in the shop yet, might have to save up if I decide ..the bank of Harry is closed after the chair & my bank is fairly deplete after the camera & we have Christmas in NZ coming up!!!!!!
I have reached a decision a decent computer and a telephoto lens and then later maybe a macro..just cannot afford everything but apple mac are just too delicious..........be interested to see what you decide!! we are waiting!
This is great Pat! Love the lighting. We've all gone over to Macs - it's fatal having an Apple Store in town. I've paid for the lessons but didn't go as it's not that hard really. The only thing I don't like is the e-mail but that's because it's not very compatible with my e-mail host - other web-based e-mails are better. They don't tend to slow down like PCs and touch wood don't have virus issues.
The Mac Air doesn't have a hard drive so there is limited storage. Very light though! We have had Macs since 1970 so are sold on them. They are very user friendly! Great fun with your editing!
@judithg My email host is AOL so not sure if that would work well with the Mac & was told there was limited storage but you could add with memory sticks etc & would probably be enough for my little enterprise hopefully.
@maggiemae Thanks Maggiemae you must be well satisfied so that is good enough for me but might just wait a bit until after Christmas if I decide to get one.
@happypat Not sure about Airs - the others have MacPlus which is faster and has loads of storage (Nige said MacAir not powerful enough for him). I'm not mobile!
Pat this is a brilliant abstract shot , glad i read the comments so I know what it is ! Do you find abstract hard to do ? I find it impossible !
WOW all you 'mac fans' @fannyb@happypat@judithg .....We've not got any mac products in the Howcroft household ....I might add 'yet' to that though ...one of my work colleagues is a big mac fan and tells me the photo and video editing that comes packaged in with the mac is excellent .
I've tended to stay away from apple products based on (a) the price (b) the hype and (c) itunes........although that might me just being awkward , stubborn and geeky !

WOW all you 'mac fans' @fannyb @happypat @judithg .....We've not got any mac products in the Howcroft household ....I might add 'yet' to that though ...one of my work colleagues is a big mac fan and tells me the photo and video editing that comes packaged in with the mac is excellent .
