I went into Preston today to take a pair of trousers back, the safety tag had not been removed....I had no bag nor receipt.
Having tried them on in the shop & knew they fitted I had thrown them away....I had to take my credit card bill to prove I had not stolen them although to be fair they didn't actually check in the end!
I did take some photos in town but have looked a t them all & rejected them all, none of them took my eye so have resorted to a filler from our meet up in London!
Three good things:
1. I lost my car parking coin in a changing room but only had to pay £5 to get a spare one!!
2. Bought my daughter a lovely nightie for her holiday in Portugal on Thursday!
3. Weigh in tonight & I am pretty sure I have lost the 10 lbs I wanted...hooray !
Haha I had only read your first line and wondered if there was a SECOND Gherkin! Hooray for your 10 pounds! I have lost 5.5 and am on my way to 15 altogether.
@bpaquette Oh keep at it Barbara...I feel so much better in my summer clothes...surprising how that little bit extra creeps on over the winter!! yes was a bit confusing but we have no Gerkin in Preston!! LOL !
Nice to see this Gherkin! Heard so much about it and seen a pic of it from overhead in a TV program about London. Made me want to come and spend a month in London! Only 5pounds for a spare? That seems like a bad thing but you have turned it into a good one! Good on you for persevering with the diet!

@willowdragon Well there is @judithg & another one I discovered who was brought up in Higher Walton but I can't remember who that is as I'm not a follower of hers.

great gherkin shot! and congrats on the weight loss - I seem to be putting more and more on - even though I'm exercising loads - methinks i'm eating too much!!
@happypat now, I've been trying to convince myself of that for the last couple of weeks...but I think the 3-5 course meals out with wine 4 or 5 times a week is taking it's toll - 3000 calories in and exercise is only about 400...need to cut out the snacks and biscuits!
@happypat boring though isn't it? got one more night out tomorrow with wine and good food and then I'll try and get good for a couple of weeks! I've rid the cupboards of all naughty things this weekend so the going gets easier!
