The lovely city of Lancaster as seen from the castle. You can see the Ashton Memorial in the distance on the sky line.
A long day today & I am shattered tonight so might not comment much but will catch up tomorrow.
Been on my walk with the walking club today ...five miles & it was hard going across fields full of longish grass, I kept my wellies on which was a mistake because they were heavy but at least I had dry feet....my walking boots leak.
I didn't take any photos on the walk as I had dropped my camera before I set off & broken the lens or thought I had.
Took a trip into Lancaster to the camera shop on my way home & luckily for me it was only the filter broken!! I was so pleased!
Three good things:
1. That I had a filter on my lens which took the brunt of the fall.
2. My friend had a flat tyre when she returned to her car but we found a willing man to change her wheel.
3. A beautiful rainbow tonight.
A walk in gum boots, Pat! No wonder you are tired - they do not allow your feet to move in a free way! You could have put plastic bags on your shoes? Looks strange but works. Lovely to see these big brick buildings here and I'll have to google the Ashton memorial!
Yes, I can't walk in willies any more, I gave myself plantar fasciitis. Awful moment for you dropping your camera, I am a dab hand at that!! This is a great shot of the town, very pretty place to,live.
Thank you all so much....I have just been round all your lovely pictures that I missed last night when I was having a night off.
Had a good long soak in the bath & watched TV....feel fine this morning but am never wearing my wellies for walking again!!
i had already done a B&B breakfast & changed hi room before I set off so too much really in one day for an ancient woman like me!!!
