Bags.

Where are the old school satchels......quite an array of different school bags to be seen here.

Three good things:
1. Out for supper tonight & then family back to stay the night.
2. Internet banking......watching my DIL who is staying with us in the UK pay bills in NZ & she could even tell that Brian had been to have his haircut & had his tea out in Morrinsville....no hiding place Brian!!
3. A lie in this morning until thunder & lightening woke me up.
Now I feel deprived as we've only had rain! And I'll take that big bag with the colourful stripes - please!

I absolutely love this picture - there is something so nice and comforting about it, those little pegs, the name labels etc. A really nicely observed, colourful image!

@quietpurplehaze @tishpics Such cute bag hooks I agree....I had forgotten how small everything is in little school! Thank you both.

Something quite appealing in this capture !!! No excuse in delving into someone else's bag by mistake ,or not able to find your bag as it was with the rows of identical satchels Super bright sunny shot to brighten up the otherwise dull day ! Pat enjoy going out with your family for a meal

@beryl Thank you Beryl & you are right about the bags...I just they looked so appealing too...perhaps remembering the days when my children were hanging up their little bags.

Satchels and dreary little duffel bags for ones plimsolls and sports gear? I think I prefer the coloured bags in your lovely shot.

You can still buy satchels believe me!! They are Cambridge satchels! come in an array of colours and cost a tidy £100!! Lovely colourful shot.

Ok so the detective in me says your family live near Morrinsvile. My home town is Matamata! So close.

Satchels? Ha ha they're in the shoulders of the well-heeled middle classes.

There's something very evocative about school pegs - mine are out of primary school but this makes you think of it immediately!

@andreajoy We love Matamata Andrea.... when our youngest son & girlfriend moved to NZ 9 years ago they worked on a farm near Matamata so we grew to know it quite well. Then they moved near to Morrinsville & then again to Waingaro where they are now. Five years ago our eldest son & family moved to the farm near Morrinsville to work & they are still there but run two farms there now. It will be the original two who came to NZ first that will be bringing me to Taupo. Small world!

Fun shot of these cute book bags. Love the individuality of the owners.
I love online banking...certainly simplifies the task of bill paying. I know you are enjoying your daughter-in-law's visit!

@boxplayer Is right - they start at about £110 for a little one at the very successful Cambridge Satchel Company!

So cute! The little row of pegs at L's nursery made me a bit misty-eyed!!

I am proud - if scruffily-heeled - owner of a trendy satchel. It came in its own bag. Only bag I've ever had that came in another bag.
