This is Bewleys on Grafton Street. Famous for it's cosy typical Irish hospitality....they were queueing to get inside. We went & eat in here twice & the atmosphere & hospitality was wonderful....
There is something about Dublin that has a unique literary feel, I suppose as there are so many famous writers & poets from there it just rubs off on everyone.
We liked the good manners & courtesy of the Irish man & they just have that certain way of dressing...so stylish!!
Three good things:
1. Almost all my cards written & posted today.
2. The Town Hall clock in Garstang chiming Christmas Carols every 15 minutes.
3. The Christmas trees looked so pretty in the dark as I was driving home.
Again so homely & inviting for the festive season from the baubles on the tree to the cosy fire -- you must have had a glorious time in Dublin --a time to recharge your batteries before the last rush of Christmas preparations
Wonderful, we have eaten in Bewley's in fact I am trying to remember the name of the hotel we stayed in, is it a hotel? It was wonderful, top hatted doorman on the door. I notice you mention Garstang in your 3GT's as in nr Preston? I am from Preston now living in co Durham. Love Garstang a beautiful place, my good friend lives there and my niece had her reception. At Beeston Manor in August, small world
@claireuk Yes Claire Garstang near Preston...my nearest town so I am there often...small world indeed!!! Bewleys isn't a hotel so not sure which hotel you stayed at,,,there are lots around there but must have been nice if it had a doorman!! Thank you for your comments.
