High tide at Blackpool today & it was amazing the different colours produced with the effect of shooting into the sun. When I turned the other way the sky & sea are so blue......you can see the difference in my extras.
This is Central Pier at Blackpool.
A terrible weather forecast tonight & the next few days ....I hope everyone keeps safe & dry!
three good things:
1. I had my eyes tested.
2. The fridge full of fruit & vegetables.
3. A brisk walk along the promenade.

Pat I just wanted to say a big thank you for all your kind words and support, they really means a lot to me, so ........ 'thank you'. I just popped in to say hello and have a quick look at a few peoples pics, am trying to take a break, but it's proving to be quite difficult! I love this shot btw, I particularly like the glint of light on the water, it's a fav for me.
The famous Blackpool! How many piers do they have? Its amazing what the camera sees with lighting - I presume it was on automatic for this shot? Your silhouette really makes the shot!
Sorry for the mass thanks... so pleased you all like this shot...was a bit weird shooting into such a strong sunlight but I did think it was interesting!!
@maggiemae Three piers maggiemae & all a little different. Yes the camera was on auto for this shot...just a quick one as my car park ticket was running out.
Thank you all ...you are so kind. Blackpool looked stunning today I must say. The streets behind were awful though...such a depressing collection of empty shops, poorly dressed people in tatty clothing...sounds snobby & I don't mean to be but I thanked my lucky stars I was who I was....could so easily be me out there. They say you are only a mortgage payment or two off the streets!! Scary!
Ooh Pat that's lovely..! How beautiful it all looks. I think I told you that last time we came the rain was horizontal and you couldn't walk in a straight line...! Keep lots of layers on tomorrow, the weather is truly awful everywhere recently. Oh, and fav by the way! :)

Wow that's the most glamorous I've seen Blackpool look. Fabulous colours. We were just having a laugh about B&B's we enjoyed there in years past. Good value lets call them!

it's "contre jour" Pat....you know that ...lol...contre jour creates stunning images ...a technique i use quite often and up there with 'letterbox' shots ag a genre of photography i enjoy :)...beautiful contre jour Pat :)
I did see this one but for some reason didn't comment - must have been distracted. It is SO beautiful, such a fab glimmer on the water. Well done on so many fav's! Here's another one!
