I am very unmotivated today partly because I have been busy & also my battery was empty so just a quick shot in the garden today. I am trying to catch an insect on a flower for one of the entries in the local show.
Strangely on this lovely sunny afternoon there were hardly any....a bit windy for them perhaps.!
Three good things:
1. Cathy & co are back from their holidays.
2. My bicycle tyres pumped at last.......first job we asked SIL to do as he stepped off the plane! Harry & I couldn't manage to get them to stay up at all.
3. Full up tonight B&B.
This is fab Pat! Not like you to take flowers - that competition is making you broaden out! I find insects never appear when you want them. Our astrantia is looking worse for wear - two days of being battered by rain.
that's gorgeous - and glad you shared the name in the comments after as I was wondering about that. I think they were in the bouquet I got at the farmer's market a couple of weeks ago.......must see if I can grow some next year.
@judithg no I only take flowers when I've nothing else but funnily enough they are always popular when I do! Am entering sixteen photos in the agriculture show this year......not helping at all now so have more time!
This does look like a flower that a bee would home in to! Very pretty shades of pink! Does that mean you have all three bedrooms taken with B&B! Hope you have the energy!
I saw this flower for the first time this summer in a friend's garden - also called Hattie's pincushion which I rather like. Nice shot!
This photo looks so much better large - well done!
