A pink glow in the sky last night as Harry was watering the plants.
Heavy rain was forecast but they were wrong!
Tired today as I am going through a really bad sleeping pattern at the moment. Three fifteen am & I was still awake in the night...down twice for cup of tea & then cereal....bad habits!
Three good things:
1. A very pleasant morning wandering round Dunhelm Mill looking at bedding with Cathy......expensive time with two going to uni!
2. Last night for my very untidy long term B&B....money is great but am fed up with his messy ways....plus he is walking up & down from 5.00am ! He is being transferred back home.
3. A new card reader from Apple.....my non Apple one stopped working.but all systems go again now.
It does have a very pink feel about the sky and ground. I gather the hot weather has passed. i hate that 3.30am wakening - I know the idea is not to start thinking but apart from someone hitting me on the head to stop that, I have no control! Tried not looking a the clock too - too depressing seeing the time unwind! With the B&B man - one has to work out a tactful way of saying that they are living with you - not you with them!
@maggiemae I agree maggiemae....luckily I haven't seen much of him as he is away too early for breakfast. He had got worse so when he said he was moving on it was with mixed feelings. A pleasant enough guy but so noisy in the morning! Cash great but enough is enough! I lie there in bed yawning & yawning but not able to nod off. My shoulder is like toothache at night & think I seem to be a bit addicted to Co codimol......seem to be ok when I have had one of them! Hoeing my holiday in Ireland will stop the rot!
Beautiful!! I was dreadful when we were away in Preston - wide awake for hours in the night - and no excuses - it was very quiet and dark. And the other night at home at 3 am I made a list of jobs that needed doing. Quite handy as I had forgotten one or two of them with trips away. Nightmare when I knew I had a long drive ahead and was responsible for half the family though.
@judithg I agree Judith being sleepless in your own home is one thing but in someone else's house or hotel, what do you do with yourself? @chris17 what is it with us women? Harry sleeps in the chair watching TV , wakes up has a shower & then goes straight to sleep in bed...!
What a delightful "in the pink "shot we also have some wonderful evening skies at the moment - I glanced out last evening but couldn't make the effort to go out to get a decent shot !!
I sympathise I am having stupid sleep patterns at the moment and never feel refreshed ! Like you a cuppa in the middle of the night is as good as anything !!
Beautiful pink glow. Terrible when you wake up in the night and can't get back to sleep. I suppose for me the good thing about being retired is that I can always have a Nanna nap during the day if need be. Don't usually, but it is nice to have the option.
I really quite like that pink sky. I have totally stupid dleep patterns and have had for about two years. I've given up and now turn the light on and read. I figure that at least I'm resting
Oh no, hope I didn't plant the 3am cereal runs in your mind. I was up having porridge again after chemo. Wayne laughing at me cos I made so much noise he had to get up!

Nice lighting in this shot - I feel almost guilty - sleep like a log 99% of the time - seems I'm the best sleeper of us five girls in my family… never realised how lucky I was until I read and hear about so many others.
What lovely pink light. Sorry you're sleeping badly. I'm going through an ok stretch at the moment (touch wood) but I know that middle-of-night waking only too well.
@jewelsandbinoculars thank you...slept like a log last night.....had the electric blanket on a bit as Bertha was lashing the windows, perhaps that's the answer!
