It was heaven this afternoon in the Trough of Bowland, the sun was shining, hardly any cars about, lots of bicycles & the heather was out.
Harry went to watch the tractor pulling at Great Eccleston so I took myself off to take more pictures for this competition I am entering.
Another contender I think but the farmhouse is possibly too small in this one but I liked the big sweep of fell.
Thank you all for your input....lots of heads are better than one!
Three good things:
1. I ate a cheesecake one of the B&'s had left behind in the fridge....it fortified me whilst I changed beds!
2. We skyped NZ this morning..
3. Some quiet days ahead!
I like this one the best and I don't think the house looks too small it just emphasizes the vastness of the countryside and the purple of the heather looks fantastic. Good luck with the competition.
Isn't your competition black and white or is that another one? Its lovely to see these broad sweeps of the heather and remember the poems and the songs about them!
@snaphappi thank you Maggie & for the lovely fave. No this competition is in any form but has to be landscape format. I entered this one bit Jack just enlarged the house a little to make it more noticeable so we will wait. & see!
