An afternoon at the cinema with my friend. It was lovely to be back to our cinema routine again after missing all the kids stuff during the school holidays.
We watched The 100 Foot Walk with Helen Mirren. One of the best films we have seen lately....we loved it! A real feel good film
Three good things:
1. Reading a fantastically enjoyable book recommended by my niece. Called Hens Dancing it really is a lovely book set in Norfolk.
2. A laugh & a tear this afternoon, not because the film was sad, just lovely.
3. Hooray, no elimination tonight on Bake Off!
I knew no one was going to go..... After Diana having to leave I just knew they would all stay. Still no favourite. So good this year. Lovely shot. Stunning stunning colours.
@newbank I actually wrote that as my last GT before the finish & just pressed post when they announced it?...you can read them like a book, they have never done all that explaining before!
Meryl Streep has to be good in any film! ...and I love any book set in Norfolk! Arthur Ransome! This is just brilliant - not just across the hay bales! fav
@fueast@newbank@cdonohoue thank you so much for the faves.....Jack had a bit of a hand in this one. I went to take a photo on the prom at Clevelys but the barriers were up so couldn't go on the front...high tides apparently surprisingly! This is one I took earlier . Been busy all day doing nothing much! @lorrainelouise@judithg great comments, thank you ladies!
@maggiemae thanks Maggiemae. We are out at the agriculture show all day tomorrow but arrive any time you like on Friday. We could have a bite of lunch or tea...only salad, salmon or something to pick at ...out in the sun hopefully! See how it goes & how much time you have ...really looking forward to seeing you both ! X
Fabulous sunset!! So nice to be beside the sea for sunset photos. Makes all the difference in the world!
Glad you enjoyed the film.......still smiling after seeing it on Saturday and Allan enjoyed it too!.Think it was Helen Mirren rather than Meryl!!
@sarah19 oh goodness you are right Sallie...will rectify that straight away...I am having a bit if a stupid night....you can tell by my comments on FB!
Absolutely stunning and what amazing reflections on the water.
We went to see the Helen Mirren movie a couple of weeks ago and I agree, definitely a feel good movie.
I missed this one - it's wonderful - and a fav! I'll make a note of the books you've been reading. We have Mansfield Park as our allocation from the library this month - one on our members must have chosen it!
