Lakeland croft by happypat

Lakeland croft

I popped into Garstang this morning & took a couple of photos in the wind but am not happy with them so back to the fillers today I am afraid.

I really like the smoke curling out of the chimney!

I had a hearing appointment which was cancelled at the last minute so used the time to visit my favourite shop which is selling the clothes I like at 40% deduction.
I bought a fab dress for £37 so I am well pleased!

Three good things:
1. Reading a very good book called Yellow Crocus by Laila Ibrahim. I am reading it free but it's only £1 on kindle.
2. Unmissable bargain today. (Well I say it's unmissable! )
3. Broadchurch tonight.
4. I have added the iripressable Molly Parkin...there is an article in the Daily Mail today....what a woman! People like her liven the world up no end!!
A beautiful capture of a lovely scenic view The sheep look so peaceful nd there are beautiful tones and textures in the back ground of trees and the bracken covered rough terrain of the hills. ,with the bright cottages nestling below the hills !

@happypat --It does Pat -until I saw it was yours I thought it may have been some where in Mid Wales ! I have only been a couple of holidays in the Lake district and each time I have loved it !

I love your gorgeous pasture scenes....especially when they involve sheep (or cows). And the smoke from the chimney adds a wonderfully cozy feel to the image.

A beautiful landscape and the houses and sheep nestle nicely in it! I also bought a dress today, half price, but don't know yet if it fits me. I was out with Clare in Winchester.

Beautiful scene. Especially like the chimney smoke, nice touch and the hills in the back are a great colour. Nothing like a dress bargain!

What a beautiful scene, those sheep look beautifully sheltered. Enjoy Broadchurch, I'm afraid I'm slumming it over on Channel 4!!!

The hills are a lovely purple colour and the cottages seem to nestle in their shadow. I love how most of the English cottages are white. Just read in the Telegraph about Molly - what a woman indeed!

Very nicely composed shot

This scene reminds me of what I read on Facebook this morning: "I just learned that it takes five sheep to make one wool sweater. I didn't even know they knew how to knit. "
