Trainers are big business in New York, every body seems to wear them.
Walking is the usual method of getting around so you regularly see women in their business suits in trainers with a little bag over their shoulder with high heels for the office.
In this shop you buy your trainers & then you can personalise them yourself.

@quietpurplehaze I have never worn trainers as such but now have a pair which I haven't taken off since I bought them! I stubbed my toe the other night & they have been the best thing to wear since.
Great shot and this takes me back to when we first came to Australia. I went in a shoe shop and asked for a pair of trainers. The assistant looked at me as if I was mad. They call them runners here, trainers are training wheels on a children's bike. ha ha.
@onewing@bpaquette Runners ....sneakers I never knew they had so many names! We call them trainers but perhaps they have a complete different name in the states! Oh you live in the States Barbara......sneakers!! I must say I like sneakers best.....kind of cute!
