Here is another farm we came across on our walk last Saturday. These farms are quite high above sea level so are a mixture of dairy & sheep. You can see the sheep have recently been sheared.
A rainy day so not the best photo!
A lovely day today here weather wise....hot sun & lunch out in the garden.
Three good things:
1. Looking forward to a week of programmes about long train journeys, all about India tonight.
2. A good book called The House we Grew Up In by Lisa Jewell.
3. A trip to York on the train tomorrow!
At least the rain makes the grass look very green, and for me it's just lovely to see the uncluttered countryside. You've been lucky today - it's been wet all day here since 11am and still raining. I'll make a note of the book. I'm reading The Seamstress at the moment, which I'm really enjoying.
I think you Brits are very intrepid to walk so often in the rain. Here we mostly wait for sunny days unless we have dogs. Good to see mixed farming still has a place too.
Lovely rich colours in the countryside. The sheep appear to have tails! Love to know the title of the Train Journeys programmes? My favourite type of travel program!
@maggiemae called The Worlds Busiest Railway maggiemae, it's a four parter on every night for the next four nights. All about Mumbai railway station. Very interesting! Eleven hundred trains a day!!
@julzmaioro Just a mark for that farm Julz....every farm has its own mark. I must say this is rather a large one....I think it's possible that it might be the raddle mark which shows when a sheep has been tupped but I thougtbitbmight be a bit early for that. Usually the farm mark is on the shoulder.
Lovely capture Pat typical English countryside right down to the rain!! Out last night so planning on catching up with the railway program on iplayer. Looking forward to it.
looking forward to your take on "York"
