Metal road to Ruapuke beach

Spent a couple of hours at Mainly Music with Finn then we took Max out of school late morning for our last day in New Zealand.

We drive along the metal road to Ruapuke beach where we had the beach all to ourselves.
Amazing waves pounding the shore, it was quite spectacular!

We ate smoked salmon with artisan sourdough bread, cheese, salad & finished off with donuts......a feast fit for a King!

So sad to leave this wonderful place but back next year all being well.

On to Melbourne tomorrow!

Beautiful view. We drove along this road in January with some friends who were visiting from the UK. It was so foggy we couldn't see far in front of the bonnet but we were sure we could have seen the sea if it hadn't been. And now I know we could have - I'll have to tell my friend what a beautiful sight she missed!

No doubt you feel quite sad to be leaving your family to return home but you have next year to look forward too and you have some wonderful memories to take back with you. It was great to have the chance meet up with you. Have a safe trip home.
