The new house next door by happypat

The new house next door

The barn next door is in the middle of a conversion into a four bedroomed home.
I know the roof is a mess but apparently they are starting on that very soon.
My old calf house where I spent many a draughty morning & evening feeding lots of calves.

You can see our new fence we finished just before we went on holiday this year. We'll get some clematis to climb up for privacy.

Three good things:
1. I have still got my plaster cast on after my visit to the fracture clinic today but they gave me a shoe to go over the top & I can start bearing weight! Plaster off on the 17th so a week earlier than I thought!
I am very happy!
2. Mr Javed who saw my ankle was the same guy who operated on Harry's knee last year & he remembered him as soon as he saw him, we were impressed!
3. No need to go upstairs on my bottom anymore!!

Lots of work to be done there! Glad to read that you're making progress.

Looks like it will be a great home when finished. Glad you don't have to go upstairs on your bottom anymore, that's left me with a strange vision in my mind.

So pleased for you that all went well with your Hospital appointment this morning -- so you will be playing footie again soon !! Seriously so much easier to move around and to get up stairs . -- the next two weeks will fly for you !
Love your new trellis fence -- a nice feature and creating a little privacy , It will be interesting to see the building finished !

I love to see barn conversions - so sad to think that many are torn down when they still have lots of life left in them. Those old craftsmen knew what they were doing when they built the barns and they will outlast most modern homes.
So happy to hear you are healing well.

@pinkpaintpot I broke my ankle a couple of days after getting back from NZ Linda. I only fell down one stair but I have been in plaster ever since but I'm coming to the end soon.
