Out Rawcliffe village hall last night for an evening fundraiser for the North West Air Ambulance.
We are lucky enough to have three air ambulances available in our area. We often see the distinctive yellow helicopter flying over us from Blackpool.
It costs 2 million pounds to fund one air ambulance a year all by donation. We managed to raise over £1200 last night, I would say there were fifty ladies present so a good effort I think!
The cake stall was particularly good as usual!
Miniature air ambulances for my two boys in NZ. A pencil sharpener & rubber attached!
Three good things:
1. An opticians appointment this morning & all well with my sight thank goodness!
2. Pheasant in the oven & new Jersey potatoes to go with it!
3. I have started the massive task of uploading all my NZ photos onto LR.
Great cause and shot. We have two close Essex air ambulance and one called Magpas - that's a medical charity and it's air ambulances serve the East Anglian area. They have a team of 60 trained doctors.
Looks like one of my favourites there - egg sandwiches! What cute little helicopters. I don't know how these air ambulances keep running with all the funds needed!
Well done raising so much money for such a worthwhile cause Pat. Love the little helicopters you bought for the boys. I expect it felt good to out and meeting people. Plaster off day must be getting nearer!
looks like the afternoon tea was delicious. Very hand that you were able to sneak in a pic without the lady seeing you. What a big job you have ahead with yourNZ pics. Know how that feels. I like to scrapbook all my special holidays but I'm afraid I am a few holidays behind.
nice butterfly cake too :)
