I'm just sitting watching flowers in the rain....The Move

A very wet day so I was struggling for a photo then caught sight of our wonderful hanging basket.
I usually do my own but this year as I have been incapacitated Harry took our very large basket the The Barn at Scorton so that they could fill it for us this year. Well it knocks spots off mine & as you can see it does look beautiful. Cost us £60 so think I might have to take over again next year, mind you the plants would cost a lot so perhaps not as expensive as it sounds!

Three good things:
1. First King Edward potatoes up today, smaller than the last variety but very tasty & they have a pinkish skin.
2. Masterchef tonight, I am rooting for Jimmy Osmond, a delightful chap with always a smile on his face!
3. Delicious peaches!
Beautiful and enough to cheer anyone up.

The flower display is lovely. New tatties sound nice. Can we send you some more rain? We seem to have an excess here!

The hanging basket is lovely. But you must be looking after it well. Mine never look that good.. note to self replant and look after hanging baskets. Is it 'The Jimmy Osmond' on master chef... is he still cute as he was back in the 70s? Lol

That is one beautiful basket but an eye watering price! Jimmy has been so sweet - such a nice outlook on everything - I had no idea he was so likeable.

@julzmaioro Yes he is so cute Julz with a big smile on his Fave & lots of jokes! I do hope he wins! Not a very good cook naturally but he seems to come up with the goods each time. One to go tonight then final tomorrow. My hanging baskets look nothing like this either that's why it's cost so much!

@jesperani Neither did I Jennifer, a real tonic! He's a real sweetie!

Yes expensive Pat -- but it is gorgeous and well worth every penny- as long as you keep watering it , it should last you well into the autumn !
Heavy rain showers here too !!

@beryl Yes Harry is in charge of the watering & I do think it will last a long time so good value.

What a wonderful hanging basket. So many different flowers.

What a joy to have that to look at and all the better if you didn't have to do it yourself. I love the photo with the colours and more muted background.
Hope the rain clears soon!

I can't get my hanging baskets to look like this at all! The ones down town hanging from verandahs are like this- proper Gardeners do them. How nice to see this while you sit with your leg up and your thumb down!

Gorgeous hanging basket and a great array of flowers. We can't have hanging baskets here they dry out too quick in summer.

Gorgeous display. You'll have to take a photo of your own next year so that we can compare and see if this is value for money! :)

Beautiful basket Pat. I always used to plant ours up but the plants are expensive and it's almost as cheap to buy them. Looking forward to Masterchef tonight!

@nickspicsnz Good idea I will try & remember to cost it out. Mine has only half the amount of flowers in though so I suppose you get what you pay for Nick!

A fabulous basket and well worth the cost this year but maybe not next year when you'll be back to full strength.

@susiemc I think I will have to have a go myself next year! Won't be like this though!
