Quite a scary thing it was too!
We queued up for ages in the hot sun & then climbed up hundreds of steps twisting & turning going narrower & narrower until we came out on the ramparts.
I never realised the stone was on the top of the castle ramparts high up!
You laid down on your back & held onto two bars while someone held you from falling. If you looked down it would be a tremendous height up. You had to bend backwards & tilt your head as far back as you could & then kiss the stone.
Glad I did it but the guy in front of me chickened out!
Not at all what I expected of the Blarney Stone - so interesting to know where it is and the trials required to kiss it!
Congrats on being brave enough to kiss it - and a great photo to prove it!
So we can expect some big stories from you now that you have kissed the Blarney stone Pat. My Sister and Niece kissed it and it worked on Jen she can be full of Blarney. Lol
I would think you would have to have good stomach muscles for this sort of activity - but would probably only do this once in a lifetime! Another web site says it bestows the kisser with the gift of the gab!! Eloquence is a much nicer word!
Congrats on being brave enough to kiss it - and a great photo to prove it!
Well done you!
