I had to take this photo of the B&B's having their breakfast this morning.
Mark on the left stayed with us for a couple of years during the week about eighteen months ago.
Geoff facing was here when Mark was staying & has been with us a couple of years now.
Colin with his back to us is Marks replacement at work.
They were out for a meal with one of the doctors last night & all met up this morning at the breakfast table, it was like old times!
Three good things:
1. The right day to meet up with my friend for lunch this time & very nice it was too!
2. There were too many cooks in the kitchen this morning but we kept our cool!
3. A found receipt!
@brennieb They were very late in last night Brenda, was like listening for the kids coming home again! Almost 1am & all lights left on of course! Did well to be up as early as they did!
You mean you never have breakfast all to yourself? Have to make it every day for B&Bs? I wouldn't like that but you are very social A lovely warm and bright room!
We always prefer to stay at B&Bs rather than bland, anonymous hotels - and one of the best things about them is that you can meet some interesting people.
@maggiemae We don't sit with them Maggie although occasionally a couple of long standing guests do come in the kitchen with us to make space in the dining room. We don't have B&B every night except in the summer probably & yes I love meeting pretty much all of them. Takes all sorts!!
They look bright eyed and well put together for breakfast to have had such a late night the night before. It speaks so highly of your B&B accommodations and especially your warm and welcoming nature to have so many long standing guests, Pat. They know a treasure when they see one.
This looks like a throwback to a less complicated age when all problems could be solved by a little patience and understanding... if it's always like that chez-vous - save a place at table for me ;-))
@cruiser short days just now Chris, it doesn't really start to get light until well after eight o'clock now although they are lengthening a bit since Christmas.
