A beautiful day on this last Saturday in March.
The clocks go forward one hour tonight so Spring is really here.
The snow capped mountains of the Lake District are clearly visible from my washing line as I hang out the sheets.
I have had to process this photo more than I would have liked as the snow merged into the blue sky a bit.
You will have to look closely but we can see them very clearly.
As you look at this photo can you see the pale line which goes horizontally across the middle of the photo, that is the path of the River Wyre on its way to the Irish Sea at Fleetwood.
Three good things:
1. Our builder came this morning to fix a slate on the roof where it was leaking in. He also blocked up a hole where the starlings were starting a nest, lots of rustling under the eaves! I was mighty glad it was birds!
2. I'm going to a cookery demo tonight in the Methodist Hall, the chef from Gibbon Bridge!
3. Daffodils in a jug.
A lovely view Pat -- you are so lucky to have all that green land to look out on ! Enjoy your demo this evenings -- I am sure you will have tasters as well !
@julzmaioro oh that's interesting Julz, was wondering how long we would be on a twelve hour time difference. I knew it was longer at one end of the year than the other, it's so easy when twelve hours!
@happypat Sadly the developers have won and had the go ahead to build -- only the final details between them and the council now to be sorted out ! -- so any day now I expect the havoc created by it all !! -- A great disappointment and sadness ,Pat !! I was born and bred a country girl !!
This is a wonderful view - just high enough to see over the flat fields, capture a glimpse of the river and pick out the mountains. So on the 1st April, we will only be 11 hours ahead of you - or is it 10? I can never work it out!
@beryl oh dear Beryl I'm so sorry to hear that, you must be so sad to lose your field. Houses going up all over around here, hundreds of them? 180 in our village alone! How are the schools & doctors going to cope? Madness! Too many people!
